And the Oscar goes to... That is one of the most eagerly awaited announcements each year as the awards season in Hollywood comes to a close with the Academy Awards. This year, we are at the homestretch of the season and everybody is awaiting the announcement of this year's nominations.

How many nominations will Avatar get? How about The Hurt Locker? And with Kathryn Bigelow's recent win in the DGA, does this mean that she is the front runner in the Best Director category - a category that has never
been won by a woman? And what about in the acting categories: is Monique a shoo in for the Best Supporting Actress plum after sweeping (as far as I know) all the awards in that category this season?
