Demi Moore was a guest on David Letterman this week, and said she recently used blood-sucking leeches to "cleanse" and "detoxify" her blood.

"I've always been somebody looking for the cutting edge of things that are for optimizing your health and healing, so just a week ago I was in Austria doing a cleanse and part of the treatment was leech therapy," she told Letterman. "These aren’t just swamp leeches, these are highly trained medical leeches. These are not just some
low-level scavengers, we're talking high-level blood-suckers."

Moore, who is now 45, said they tested a leech on her belly button before putting several others on different areas of her body, and provided an additional detail: "Leeches don't like hair, they much prefer a Brazilian."

"It detoxifies your blood," she told a surprised Letterman. "And they have a little enzyme that when they're biting down on you, gets released into your blood and generally you bleed for quite a bit, and your health is optimized."

"It detoxified the blood and I'm feeling detoxified right now."

The vultures have started hovering. After 22-year-old Ashley Alexandra Dupre was identified as governor Eliot Spitzer's call girl, good (?) things have started happening for the once aspiring singer. Her song was played on radio, something she has tried desperately to do for years! And it seems bigger tidings are in store for her, one million dollars to be exact.

'Hustler' publisher Larry Flynt says he plans to offer Dupre $1 million to bare it all and pose nude in the magazine, proving once again that there is no such thing as bad publicity. "Larry Flynt will be offering $1 Million to Ashley Dupre to pose for Hustler Magazine," a magazine
rep tells Access Hollywood. "We want this to happen as soon as possible."

And that's not all. Dupre is also being offered big money to become a porn star: "Ashley Dupre is very beautiful and we are definitely interested in talking to her. We are reaching out to her attorney and preparing a deal memo. She could wind up being the highest paid actress in adult entertainment," says Vivid Entertainment Co-Chairman Steven Hirsch.

Earlier this week, Ashley told the 'New York Times' that she was worried about paying her rent this month after the escort service she worked for was shut down by federal officials so don't be too surprised if she accepts an offer.

The court has finally spoken. It has ordered former Beatle Paul McCartney to pay his estranged (and ambitious if I may add) wife Heather Mills 24.3 million pounds ($48.7 million) ending a bitter divorce battle that lasted for years.

Mills gave this statement: "I am so glad it is over. It is an incredible result in the end. We are very, very pleased. I am so, so happy with it." But Heather Mills thought she could have more (I told you so): "The judge said Paul was only worth 400 million pounds ($800 million), but everyone has known he has been worth 800 million pounds ($1.6 billion) for the last 15 years." If gold digger had a face in the dictionary, hers would be it!

The court also ruled that the couple's 4-year-old daughter Beatrice should receive $70,000
per year, and McCartney would pay for the child's nanny and school fees. The settlement was only a fifth of the $250 million sum Mills had sought, but she still ended up with the equivalent of about $34,000 for each day of her four-year marriage. McCartney had offered her $31.6 million.

This was Mills comment after the ruling, as quoted from the news: "It was an incredible result in the end to secure mine and my daughter's future and that of all the charities that I obviously plan on helping and making a difference with — because you know it has been my life for 20 years." Huh? Who is she kidding?

A court has extended an earlier decision and has ruled that Britney Spears' dad will retain control of her finances and estate at least for another five months, until July 31. James Spears was named conservator of the Spears estate after she was hospitalized twice in January, and his temporary authority was set to expire on Monday, March 10.

Britney's outbursts and hospitalizations contributed to her losing custody of sons. Ex-Kevin Federline continues to have full custody but Spears has been allowed monitored visits over
the past two weeks.

It's reported that the singer meets with psychiatrists for a two-hour session every week, and is working hard to get into shape for a new video of her single 'Hot as Ice.'

In Ellyn Spragins' upcoming book of essays by female celebrities called 'If I'd Known Then', Jessica Alba recalls some experiences when she was still a young girl in high school. Alba says that she was one of the 'lucky' ones and developed at an early age. But because of her growth spurt, some of the "self-righteous" other parents and even her elementary school principal labeled her a sixth-grade slut.

"The accusation still ricochets... They think I'm a slut?," Alba writes. "Boys are awful. They are made of nothing but hormones until they're about 20 or 21," she continues. "It's fun to

We’ve had strippers on the show before. Nikki McKibbon was one in [Season] 1. We’re never judgmental about people who do things like that. If it were some sort of heavy porn, then maybe we’d have to take action. But certainly not on this.

American Idol judge Simon Cowell says he turned down a lucrative $2 million offer to be the face and spokesman for Viagra last year. In the British edition of Glamour magazine, Cowell says: "Last year my agent rang me and said, 'You've been offered an incredibly big deal. It's to be the face of Viagra. Tyra Banks' hit show 'America's Next Top Model' has had its share of quirky contestants, but never one like this. One of this season's contestants, a 24-year-old native New Yorker named Claire, may qualify as the most bizarre of all after she admitted to the judges that she had been drinking her own breast milk.

Claire told Tyra that she wanted to keep her breast milk flowing so that she could nurse her daughter after she left the show, but when asked if she was sending the milk home, Tyra got a rather surprising response.


"Right now I'm actually drinking it... It tastes kind of like light soy milk."

When asked what her reason was for drinking her breast milk, Claire said that she didn't want to just throw it away: "I drank my breast milk only during audition week because I did not want to waste it after putting all my effort into making and extracting it. Dumping milk just seems wrong," Claire said, adding that at one point she was drinking two or three glasses of breast milk a day. "A mother's milk is like liquid gold, so I also wanted the nutritional value back and to keep my immunity up."

According to a new BBC documentary, Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger only survived an assassination attempt by Hells Angels members nearly 40 years ago because a boat carrying his would-be killers was swamped in a storm.

The program called 'The FBI at 100' reported that Jagger fell out with the Hells Angels after a member of the notorious gang killed a fan during the band's infamous free concert at Altamont in 1969. The Stones had hired the local chapter to provide security for the concert near San Francisco. However, the bikers terrorized the crowd and one member stabbed 18-year-old Meredith Hunter to death in front of the stage. Jagger then vowed not to use
Hells Angel members as bouncers following the death and the two parties had a falling out.

Former special agent Mark Young said a boatload of Hells Angels set out to take revenge on Jagger at his holiday home in the Hamptons, near New York City: "The Hells Angels were so angered by Jagger's treatment of them that they decided to kill him."

"They planned the attack from the sea so they could enter his property from the garden and avoid security at the front. The boat was hit by a storm and all of the men were thrown overboard. All survived and there was not said to have been any further attempt on Jagger's life," Young tells a British paper.

The Hells Angels have always denied any connection with the killing at the concert.

Prince Harry, home from his abandoned military mission to Afghanistan, said he hopes to return to combat zones as soon as possible.

Harry returned to England on Saturday after serving for 10 weeks as a soldier in Afghanistan. His secret tour of duty, due to last until April, was abruptly aborted after a magazine and websites disclosed details of his whereabouts. The prince's mission had previously gone unreported as part of an agreement, designed to protect the 23-year-old prince and his fellow soldiers, between the Ministry of Defense and major news
organizations.

"'Angry' would be the wrong word to use but I am slightly disappointed. I thought I could see it through to the end and come back with our guys," Harry said after landing at an air force base where he was met by his father, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince William.

Harry said he hoped to return to Afghanistan soon and has already asked his commanding officer to approve a new mission. "I would love to go back out, and I've already mentioned it to him that I want to go out very, very soon," he said.

Public documents show Michael Jackson has repeatedly failed to make mortgage payments on a Los Angeles home that has been used for years by his family.

Documents filed with the Los Angeles County Recorder's Office indicate the reclusive pop star was most recently in default last month on the property in Encino, an area in the San Fernando Valley. The singer had $153,910 in missed payments as of Jan. 17 on a $4 million loan serviced by Pasadena-based mortgage lender IndyMac Bancorp. Documents
dated Feb. 7 show the notice of default was withdrawn.

Documents also show Jackson previously faced possible default over missed payments on the home in April and August. Jackson's Neverland property in Los Olivos, Calif., is set to be auctioned off March 19 because of missed payments on a $24.5 million loan.

If you think giving birth these days is expensive, listen to this. New mom Jennifer Lopez spent a staggering $1.4 million on giving birth to her twins. Lopez delivered a five-pound, seven-ounce girl and a six-pound boy at New York's North Shore University Hospital on February 22. She and husband Marc Anthony reportedly spent $700,000 to reserve a luxurious birthing suite at the hospital, and the couple had the $175,000-a-week suite reserved for three weeks before even going into labor, just in case.

Lopez has also reported to have spent $300,000 on private doctors and nurses, $300,000 on security and $100,000 on personal assistants during the pregnancy. At those prices, you can be sure the suite more than the basics. 'In Touch' magazine says the suites included
luxurious white couches, large computer monitors, a private kitchen and two flat-screen TVs, along with the attention of the expert staff.

"She's doing so well but we have gone through a lot of tissues. Everyone is crying tears of joy," a Lopez pal friend is quoted by the mag. But don't worry, Jennifer isn't going broke anytime soon. In fact, she's said to be receiving $6 million for exclusive pictures of the babies. That's what I call a good investment!

Lindsay Lohan's recent nude photoshoot for 'New York' magazine had at least one big fan -- 'Playboy' boss Hugh Hefner. The 'New York Post' reports that Hefner has offered the Lohan the chance to re-create another Marilyn Monroe shoot, one that was left unfinished due to her death and that "Lindsay is tempted to continue her nude homage."

Lohan may stop right there but she didn't get paid a dime for the 'New York' magazine shoot, so she may be looking at the offer as her chance to cash. We all know she could certainly use the money considering the lack of real work the once rising star is getting since her
return from rehab.

Meanwhile, even if manager mom Dina thinks the photos were "very tastefully done," her dad, Michael Lohan says he won't even look at the photos but accepts it was "her decision" to agree to the shoot.

"I'm not going to look at the photos - that's my daughter! But Lindsay is an adult, and she knows the direction she wants to take her career. It's her decision," he tells Us magazine.
